我當時住在士林眷村的外圍 一到過年過節婚宴喜慶 所有村裡的媽媽們都光顧同一家美容院 由同一個師傅梳成同款一捲一捲的雞窩頭 上面噴著濃濃的髮膠 像是頂個頭盔 ，身上穿著的也是一式一款 同個裁縫製出的洋裝 只是顏色布料略有不同活像是一群複製的clone。
一個長輩嚇唬我 人到了40歲以後一年多長一斤肉 完全由不得你 此乃中年發福的由來。
當時的招人廣告欄 一定是要求25歲以下 長相端正 未婚 履歷請附照片。。。擺明了不歡迎超齡已婚女性應徵。即便是當紅的女明星 都急得在事業巔峰之際 立刻找個金龜婿急流勇退 即使不退也沒適當的角色可演了。
少女時期的我除了憂心30歲以後何去何從 也暗自反抗要走條不同的路。
時過境遷 翻看現下的雜誌 電影 不管什麼年齡的女人都能各領風騷 在自己的領域大放異采。 連"自古紅顏如名將 不許人間見白頭" 的迷思也大舉推翻。女人甚至大方展現皺紋和白髮。 We”ve come a long way!
我這輩子沒燙過頭髮 不知道是不是就是被當年的頭盔給嚇倒的。

Well said. I don't feel that I am old. Really! When I was a kid looking at older women, I felt that they were so "old". Totally agree with age after 40. You really have no control of your weight. You can't be as slim as yourself when you were in the 20's even your appetite has decreased. That is all because slower metabolism. That is the way of life.

I think being comfortable in your own skin is important. When I looked at some old photos, my mother looked much younger than I was at the same age and I couldn't even fit in her old 旗袍. Yes, aging is a journey no one can escape might as well enjoy the ride.
